Snow day play.

Cathy is pulling Grayson on the sled in her backyard.

Once Grayson tried the snow, he was all about it. He would not stop eating it.

He had snow much fun.

My in-laws, Dennis and Cathy, live in Pine Valley and they got a lot of snow this weekend. Probably 6-8 inches, which is a little odd for Southern California. It actually seemed warm today at my house (high 60s maybe), but they still had a ton of snow at their house. On my way back from Costco, Jerry called me and said that he was going to take Grayson to his parents' house to see the snow and asked if I wanted to go along. Sign me up. So we went to the snow. We have to take advantage of these snowy opportunities. They don't happen very often.
We (along with what felt like most of San Diego residents) hopped on the freeway headed for the mountains. It was worth it, though. Grayson had such a fun time. He loved being pulled around on the sleds by his Grandma, Grandpa, Grandpa's friend Tim, and cousin Paul. Paul actually went a little fast, but Grayson loved it. He was laughing and saying, "Wheeeeee!" He would whine when people stopped. Luckily for his crutch bearing papa and pregnant mama, these people were there to take turns pulling him around. After the sledding, Dennis gave him some snow to eat and he went to town. He kept picking up snow and eating it. He had the wettest diaper when we cleaned him up to go home. He was pooped and fell fast asleep on the drive home. Lucky Grayson, he gets to go back to the snow tomorrow when Grandma Woestman watches him. I'm sure that she'll have her hands full with him wanting to spend the day outside.
